I then proceed to inspect my motherboard and take pictures to send Asus P5N-E SLI my friends who love hardware as much as me. For this board I then popped off the NB heatsink and cleaned it up and applied some arctic ceramique, or whatever paste you like, but I like to use something non-conductive for naked chips, ie no IHS on them.

In our opinion that is the major flaw with this motherboard, as we think ASUS could have used an automatic switch like everybody else including themselves is using Asus P5N-E SLI other motherboards. Occasionally, board manufacturers can throw an additional chipset on board, such as a Marvell, to enable an additional NIC port. So, it only includes what it needs.
