I'm now thinking about something like an Asrock P67 Extreme4 Gen3. I bought this for my HTPC. Installed a small SSD and it is doing our family entertainment a world of fun. I even bought another board and same set up for our 73" screen.

I don't know how anyone used the old bios now. It worked with my logitech USB mouse wiout hesitation. The software is well-organized, making my set-up almost too easy.
I thought to myself: I could teach my mother how to build a computer if she had to use this board and bios. That's not to say it is a novice board!
I have been studying and preparing to OC for the first time and I am really excited to use all of the cool OC features and software. Between this board and my unlocked k, I could OC till kingdom come.

This board was in high demand when the SATA ports issue got resolved and Intel reissued new chipsets. I then spoke to Asus Tech support and they went through a detailed step by step process and thankfully got it started.
