I had a p4p deluxe and imo it's a piece of shit. Long story short the board eventually broke from the pressure of the heat sink. It will now only work if I use it without the heat sink HMMMM replace the cpu with a new one every few hours Asus P4P800S SE Motherboard get a new board it was an easy choice.

They are nicely situated about two inches below the memory. Nothing extraordinary here but note that Asus has opted to include a locking mechanism which many manufacturers have stopped using. This is a nice feature and prevent the board from possibly slipping out or being accidentally removed. Here is the top right corner of the P4P SE.

Thanks for the replies. Regarding amd versus p4 - Im well aware that amd can match the p4, but Asus P4P800S SE Motherboard amd-rig right now is [bleep]. I have an athlon xp and I have done so much experimenting on the MoBo and processor that I think I've done damage to both the processor and the MoBo. I did buy an athlon xp for upgrade and accidently damaged that one as well.

Theres the well acclaimed P4C as well, but its a bit more expensive than the P4P and offers nothing more than a different and newer chipset.
